On the Mac I have Airport Utility application in my dock that, when opened, shows the classic tree structure of internet and the two expresses connected with a dotted line indicating a wireless connection to the devices from the router. I've also got a couple of the Airport Expresses that I use to extend my wifi signal in the house AND allow me to play music from my Mac through stereo equipment connected to these airport expresses.
